一天工长带了很多钱到了退休工人家救济工人，每到工人家，工长把自己所带的钱给工人一半，然后又叫工人给他50元手续费，一共救济了72名工人，结果工长还剩下100元钱，请问工长原来一共带多少钱？

No matter what initial capital the foreman had, his final capital will always converge to 100 after many (infinite)visits. If the money can't be split into any amount less than 1 cent, and the amount is paid using the regular rounding, then the foreman will end up with exact 100 if he brought any normal amount greater than 100 dollars, up to 3.43E+10. Note he will end up with 99.99 if he brought something less than 100 initially.

单从数学角度，起始的钱数大于100和小于100都是同样结果；但实际上，1分钱以下
不可分，如果把半分钱上进到1分钱给工人，结果就象sean9991说的一样。

但我不知sean9991如何得出上限值在3.43E+10？我得出的上限值要大得多，在1E+19左
右。天哪！你能想象这是一个什么样的天文数字？全世界的人口只是大约5E+9，即
使人人都是亿万富翁，全世界的钱的总数都不会达到1E+19。

另外，工头可以很“黑”：在这过程中他可以贪污无数的钱而无人知晓。

Yes, 几乎任何finite的钱数按此法运作72次后都收敛于100。所以答案有无数多个。
