I was born on the 9th of April 1975 in France. Appart from my PhD in Computer Graphics at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology and the University of Lausanne, I've started to learn photography in 1998. Portraiture (started in 2001) remains one of my favourite subjects. During year 2002, the photos series became more complex and narrative, partly due to the digital darkroom: by scanning my negatives and manipulating then on the computer, I've gained as much control as in the traditionnal darkroom.
All of my gear is today 100% digital. Shooting and retouching are all part of the same process.
If I had to pick up a sentence to describe my artistic research, it would be these words of Antoine de Saint-Exupéry: "Perfection in design is not achieved when there is nothing more to add, but when there is nothing more to remove."
