mosquitos in Beijing

I cannot hear the mosquitos in Beijing making high picth noises anymore. I asked a few people and they agreed with me. One possibilty is I and those people are too old to hear (all above 46 years old). Do you know if mosquitos still make noises? Thanks.

I can hardly see any mosquitos in Beijing, even in the hutong areas. I guess what you encounter now are not the same species of mosquitoes as you saw before: the new species does not cry or scream out loud.

They might sing, though.

Mosquitoes in Beijing have been fogged off by the exhaust fume from the millions of cars there. I guess.

听说嗡嗡叫的是母蚊子，，不叫的是公蚊子，，

母蚊子都在家不出来干活，，所以听不到
