I hope everything is going great with you. Has the bad economy affected you at all? It has affected my family, my husband Adam was laid off at the beginning of the month. No worries, tomorrow he has a second interview with a company called Fastanol, in Canton, Ohio. Also after a week of being laid off, he was already offered a new job. So tomorrow is the big day, its the decision day. He has to decide what he is going to do. Adam is a very hardworker, so in a way i never doubted him. I did however worry about the economy. Alot of people we know have been let go from their jobs.
I work in the healthcare industry though, so that is usually a very stabile career. I am a graphic designer for Edgepark Medical Supplies, here in Cleveland, Ohio. Its alot of fun, i design catalogs, fax flyers, brochures, pretty much anything the company needs. Pretty much everyone that works for the company is very young, so its a really fun work environment.
Xiao told me that you received a promotion? How is that going, that is very exciting and very fortunate for these tough times. Please let me know what you do as a career.Are you excited for Christmas? We haven't decorated yet and i think with less than a week before Christmas, we have decided not to do so this year. I have been really bad at decorating this year. It just takes up alot of time.
This weekend, i am going to Michigan to see my sister Jocelyn and her two children. It has been three very long years, since i have seen my sister. She lives in Florida and hasn't been able to travel up here for a couple of years. She has a three year old little girl named Jacquelynn and a 1 year old little boy named Nathan. I have talked to the children alot on the phone though. Jacquelynn can't say Aunt Mandy (that's what my family calls me) so she calls me Aunt Mimi. It's so cute.
I have dreamed about this day for three years, i can't wait to hold those little kids and to hug my sister. I am not sure if Xiao told you, but I have nine siblings. Here is a list of all of us listed out: Beckey, Janette, Shelly, Me, Danny, Jocelyn, Jessica, Jeremy, Bobby and Jonathon. I also have 15 neices and nephews already: Melanie, Matthew, Christopher (Beckey's kids), Jenna, Jade, Issac, Josiah (Janette's kids), Travis, Layne, Brayden (Shelly's kids), Jacquelynn, Nathan (Jocelyn's kids), Kaydance (Jessica's kid), Joann, Audrianna (Bobby's kids). WOW that's alot of people huh. A few of us, still haven't started families. I want at least two kids, I think haha, I would like a boy and a girl. We already have names picked out.....Landrey (girl) and Max (boy). Do you want to have children someday?
Right now, Adam and I have a cat named Maggie, she is like having a child. She is very high maintence. I love her to pieces.
So what are you big plans for the Chinese new year? We haven't made plans for New Year's Eve here yet. Adam wants to have a party at our house. We have in the past, but it kinda stresses me out to think about the mess I would have to clean up the next morning.
Well I should probably go back to bed. I originally went to bed at 10 pm tonight and I woke up at 2:30 and I had to take a shower. Then I was wide awake so I decided to paint my fingernails and toenails. I think they are about dry now, so i can go back to bed.
