Question 1: One of the 2 kids is a boy.

The suggested answer is wrong. The probability should be 1/2, NOT 1/3.

Remember, the order is not important.

Question 2: The older kid is a boy.

The probaility is 1/2, same as the first question.

The answer for question 1 : 1/2

The answer for question 2 : 1/2

Same.

The answer for question 1: Just one of them is a boy. 1/2 (order of boy or girl, not important.)

Same for question 2, Period. (Older kid is a boy.)

BG and GB are same situation, because order is NOT important!

Answer suggested in the attached URL is incorrect.
