Theoretically YES. X-ray is EM radiation. (So does gamma ray.) High-dose radiation could cause people feel tired, dizzy or even death. Under normal condition, X-ray exam won't give people over-dose x-ray radiation. However, in case the X-ray machine has problem, it may. In real life, we had experience that Co-60 (gamma ray source) machine did not cure but kill people. |
not noramlly for any plain plate X-ray tests, eg. chest/abdominal x-ray; but certain people do experience nausea and vomiting when contrast is used for the procedure. The adverse effects usually does not last long and subside within hours. |
