I'd been waiting in front of the restaurant for ages
Lips watering of course
I couldn't wait, my friend was late
I went in before he got there and ordered a bowl of noodles

He sent me a message, said he couldn't make it
I said no worries, I'll be fine
I told the waitress I wanted to order
She didn't have a pen, so I told her to hurry up

I waited forever, then she came back
Then I told her what I wanted to eat
Fried chicken with peanuts, lotus pie
Sweet and sour pork is also a must

And don't forget those nice little cakes
With a clear pineapple filling
When I'm done that I'll have some ice cream
Make sure the strawberry flavour isn't too strong

I'd swallowed half of it before I realized
My noodles still hadn't come
I let a server know
